Who is Megann Willson?

I'm a business-owner, a strategist, a community-builder, and a mom. I believe that "born and raised here" shouldn't be the cost of entry for leadership in our city, since that doesn't reflect the Toronto we live in. So what's my claim to fame?

I'm not a lifetime politician.

I've got plenty of experience to bring to the table, gained in at the intersection of business-building and community leadership. Every day I'm in my community, hearing what residents want and need. You've told me you want a city government that listens, and I've been doing that. I'm still listening. And I will continue to listen.

Instead, here's some of the experience I bring to the table:

Active community-builder, connector of people and resources, and a people-first advocate for affordable housing, efficient transit, sustainable, available food, and entrepreneurial approaches to employment

Founder, Partner, CEO, Strategist at PANOPTIKA Inc. since 2001 - getting products to market, prioritization, change management, or innovation, with Canadian, U.S. and E.U. based clients in B2B, Consumer, and personal growth projects.weDZYN

Founder and Designer at DZYN Canada (weDZYN) - social enterprise bringing Canadian-designed products to market to support hunger, homelessness, and illiteracy causes

Co-Founder of ProductCamp Atlantic - an unconference modeled after the original ProductCamp, Along with three great colleagues and lots of volunteers and supporters, to grow the Product Management community in Atlantic Canada

Director of Strategy & Marketing, Faculty of Management, Dalhousie University - I'm proud to have led an incredible team of management and communications professionals to make a difference in the lives of future managers, in a faculty built around four Schools and four Centres, enabling true multi-disciplinary management education that encompasses business, information management, public administration, and resource and environmental studies

My volunteer experience includes Out of the Cold, Launch and Startup Mentoring Programs, Literacy and Reading Programs, and I'm a Leadership Co-Chair at the Regent Park Neighbourhood Association and a Director-at-Large (VP Communications Elect) for the CCSBE (Canadian Council for Small Business and Entrepreneurship)
